Before your first use (and every 3 months), run once empty with one tablespoon in the main detergent compartment to clear mineral buildup in the internal components (you don't want the broken down minerals sitting on your plates).
Normal Operation:
Step 1: After you put in your detergent in the main compartment, fill remaining space with Shine Magic powder leaving enough room to close the compartment. Do not put in the rinse aid compartment.
Step 2: Run as normal with your regular detergent
